Today we welcome back the m.v. Antwerp Bridge. This is her second call to Northport.

This is a special call because we will be handling a record number of containers. There are 1,876 containers to be discharged (2,753 TEU equivalent), including 103 transhipments, 57 reefers (refrigerated), 21 OOG (Out-Of-Gauge) and 51 DG (Dangerous Goods) containers.

There are also a number of DLR (discharge, land and restow) movements.

Her arrival alongside was delayed by a day due to the bad weather here yesterday and discharge is expected to be completed on Sunday.

We have now completed the removal of logs from ‘U’ block at the port (roughly 2.8 hectares) and this additional area will now be dedicated to our growing container trade.
