As we posted a few weeks ago, cruise ships are coming to Whangarei from early February. At last! We’re excited and there’s a real buzz about this around town.
If you’re involved with hospitality, tourism, retail, events or community promotions in or around Whangārei, don’t miss Northland Chamber of Commerce’s What’s On Whangārei’ (WOW) Information Session tomorrow (Thursday 9 November) to learn more about how you can benefit from this significant boost to our local tourism market.
The session will be held twice; once between 7.30am and 8.30am at The Orchard, and again between 4.30pm and 5.30pm in Hatea Studio at the Whangārei Art Museum.
As well as information about cruise you will learn about Christmas activities, ports promotions, festivals, safety in the city and support for businesses. The session will include short presentations from WDC, Northport, Northland Inc’s Destination team and City Safe. and help you with planning and supporting key activities that may help boost your business.
