Woodchip conveyor: out with the old, in with the new

A long-standing feature of our skyline is no more. Marusumi’s old woodchip storage pad conveyor has been dismantled following damage caused by fire.

A new and improved version will be installed shortly. It will have a smaller profile; it will be lower to the top of the woodchip pile. This will make it less visible and will eliminate dust as woodchip is added to the top of the pile.

In the first phone call from Damian Luitin (ISL) I was told 3 logs had gone into the water, Log Recovery has collected 2. Damian said he was going to check the side deck of the vessel to make sure it was 2 logs and not 3. Damian came back and said only two logs went into the water. SP
