Julia Hoare - Port of Tauranga Chair and Northport Ltd Chair
Julia Hoare joined the Board in August 2015 and took over the Chair in August 2022. She has a wide range of commercial, financial, tax, regulatory and sustainability expertise developed from both her extensive governance roles and over the course of two decades as a partner with PwC.
Julia is the Chair of Auckland International Airport Limited, and a Director of Meridian Energy Limited and Port of Tauranga Trustee Company Limited. She is also a Member of the Chapter Zero New Zealand Steering Committee

Hamish Stevens - Northport Ltd and Marsden Maritime Holdings Director
Mr Stevens has had considerable experience in a number of senior corporate roles including both operational and financial management in large companies such as DB Breweries Ltd and Heinz-Watties, Hamish became a professional director in 2010. He is currently Chairman of The Kennedys Ltd, East Health Services Ltd and Independent Chair of Waikato Regional Council's Audit and Risk Committee. He is also a Director of Restaurant Brands Ltd, Counties Power Ltd, Pharmaco Ltd and Pacific Radiology Group Ltd. Hamish is a qualified chartered accountant with an MCom (Hons) and MBA from Auckland University and also chairs the audit committees for a number of the above companies.
Hamish joined the Marsden Maritime Holdings Ltd Board in October 2018 and Northport Ltd in July 2019 and is considered to be an Independent Director.

Leonard Sampson- Port of Tauranga Chief Executive and Northport Ltd Director
Leonard was appointed to role of Chief Executive of Port of Tauranga on 1 July 2021, having previously been the Chief Operating Officer since September 2019.
He joined the Company as Port of Tauranga's Commercial Manager in 2013 from the role of General Manager - Sales at KiwiRail. He also held senior roles at Carter Holt Harvey and Mainfreight.

Murray Jagger - Northport Ltd & Marsden Maritime Holdings Director
Murray is a long standing resident of Northland where he runs a significant dairy and beef farming operation. He has a Diploma in Agriculture from Massey University and is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors. Murray has been a Director of Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) since 2000. He is also a Director of Co-operative Business NZ, President of the Whangarei Agricultural and Pastoral Society, Advisory Member to Beef and Lamb Genetics Beef Advisory Group and is an Officer of the Fire Service. Mr Jagger is considered to be an Independent Director.
